Letter to CommissionerG. Albert Hill
Connecticut State Highway Department
Hardford 15, CT
August 9, 1954
“The agreement to regard the Oak Street Connector as a regional facility connecting he Greenwich-Killingly Expressway with Route 34 is particularly encouraging.  It assures us in New Haven that our City will not be by-passed in the highway development program.  We are confident that the link between the Oak Street Connector and Howe Street and Route 34 in West Haven will be of great value, not only to the state highway system, but to our redevelopment efforts right here in New Haven.”
